Letellier. 1829-1842. Figures des champignons servant de supplément aux planches de Bulliard, peintes d'après nature et lithographiées: pl. 653. [Cf. ICBN Vienna Code 7.7 and associated examples. This plate must be judged holotype of the present name; and designating it as lectotype (Neville and Poumarat 2004: 193) is superfluous.]
Unfortunately, the spore measurement methods of Neville and Poumarat (2004) do not produce results comparable with measurements made by the methods preferred on this site. For example, they list measurements for "globose" spores separately from other spores, but apparently combine at least the Q values from the two lists. Also, in the spore measurements for the present taxon they cite values of Q that are < 1.0.
